Welcome From LinkedIn… or Wherever I Invited You From.
3 months ago, I started a simple newsletter on LinkedIn called “Rhythm & Resolve”. It was always going to only be a beginning. I knew then it would move platforms and expand into something else.
I didn’t really introduce myself then so why not (in substack post 001) do it now?
1. So Who Am I Anyway?
I’m Jamie Buhler and my work has always sat at an unusual intersection: human formation and business endeavor.
Years spent in spiritual care and human formation taught me how people actually heal, mature, and rebuild their inner worlds. I watched up close how deeply people desire transformation, but also how quietly wounded we become when we make grand promises to ourselves that we cannot keep.
At the same time, spending a decade building a local brick-and-mortar business from scratch into a six-figure venture taught me the unrelenting reality of execution and outcomes.
Across both worlds one truth kept surfacing: intensity burns out, but quiet alignment has the ability to endure.
2. Why Am I Writing?
Most of us have been conditioned to believe that meaningful change requires dramatic effort—heroic sprints, radical overhauls, or muscling through exhaustion with sheer willpower.
Yet, so often, intensity leaves us back where we started, quietly asking… why didn’t the effort stick?
I started this publication to offer a different kind of conversation. This isn’t a space for hustle-culture scripts, 30-day hacks, or demands to try harder.
Instead, this is an honest exploration of how we grow and change most effectively.
Together, we’ll look closely at the quieter dynamics that actually shape a life:
The Soil and the Environment: Why position often matters more than effort, and why even good desires wither in dry places.
The Burden of Ownership: How un-examined clutter, obligations, and noise quietly drain our future capacity.
Preparation Before Pressure: How private, daily rhythms quietly build the person who shows up when life demands alertness.
Rebuilding Self-Trust: How small, kept intentions restore internal integrity and create a momentum that feels almost inevitable
3. Great. So What Can You Expect?
You can expect thoughtful, regular essays delivered straight to your inbox.
We won’t be rushing toward superficial answers or complex strategies. We will simply be taking the time to pay attention in order to notice what is working, what is broken, and how to establish a rhythm you can actually live in.
If you are interested in a steadier, truer path to growth, I invite you to subscribe and walk this path together.
